Rabbit Control, Eradication and Extermination
We catch moles quickly, efficiently and humanely. We are experts and we only offer to trap moles using traditional mole trapping methods.
Lethal trapping is the only sure way to deal with problem moles both humanely and effectively.
We do not offer any form of live mole trapping, nor do we use any form of poison or gas.
We believe that when and if, small mammals come into conflict with our homes and businesses in Essex and Suffolk, that dealing with them using the most humane methods available, is our only option.
We give the task of mole control sufficient time, pay due diligence to our surroundings, and the needs and sensibilities of our clients.
About Rabbits
Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world.
The male is called a buck and the female is a doe; a young rabbit is a kitten or kit. Rabbit habitats include meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts and wetlands.
Appearance
Rabbits are small, furry, mammals with long ears, short fluffy tails, and strong, large hind legs.
Rabbits vary in colour and size, ranging in weight from 2 to 16 pounds (1 to 7 kilograms), depending on breed.
How They Live
Rabbits live in groups, and the best known species, the European rabbit, lives in underground burrows, or rabbit holes. A group of burrows is called a warren.
Why should you have rabbit infestation treated?
Rabbits carry fleas and disease which can be transmitted to your domestic rabbits.
They cause damage to your plants and lawn by eating, digging and scratching.
On agricultural land 1 rabbit per hectare will decrease your production yield by 1% per rabbit left alive.
Therefore it is easy to estimate the damage that can be caused by infestation.
Life Cycle Of A Rabbit
Depending on the species, rabbits give birth in burrows or in shallow ground nests. The babies, known as kittens, are born blind and naked.
The mortality rate is high, with only about 15 percent of a litter surviving.
Rabbit milk is so nutritious, however, that for the strongest kittens, this is sufficient. Within a month, most of the young are weaned.
Male rabbits, known as bucks, do not help the females in raising the babies. Rabbits have the ability to reproduce at a very high rate.
Male Rabbit Life Cycle
Females often have litters of up to seven kittens four to five times a year.
Instead of the regular yearly cycle of ovulation of most mammal species, rabbits ovulate upon copulation.
A female is able to conceive again right after she has given birth to a litter. In areas with abundant resources rabbit populations are able to grow with great rapidity.
However, when resources are scarce, the reproduction rate is curtailed. They have been known to live as long as 8 years depending on conditions.
